Birthday Celebrations 2005

Hmmm… For those who didn’t know, my birthday is on the 7th of Dec (just to let you know).

So on that day, nothing much happened, since I was at home pretty much the whole day… But for dinner, I had steak with potato and, (to top it all off), red wine! After that, I sat down (for the first time in my life) to watch a soccer match (the repeat telecast of Chelsea vs. Liverpool). But on the plus side, I got to drink more wine =P haha… (Some people actually thought I was drunk, but that is highly improbable).

Anyway, all that alcohol rendered me quite unable to stay up late, so I went to bed feeling all warm and fuzzy… Haha, I sound like a teddy bear =P

The next morning, I went to play golf with my father, and we had a looooooong nine-hole course. Since I have not played golf for a few years, I played not-that-bad (to his surprise), and lost ONLY two golf balls in the process!

That said and done, after that, for lunch, I had a very good dish of fettucini… And nealy collapsed on my bed out of exhasution when I got home from SICC.

I was ready for my birthday celebration dinner (at Nagano, some Jap place), and discussing class party details with Julian Wong… Might as well post them here…

Aeon Flux @ Plaza Singapura GV
3 pm show (If we can’t get tickets, we’ll try the next one)
Meet at 2.30 outside MacDonalds
Plaza Sing is right opposite Orchard Atrium, Dhoby Ghaut MRT station (red and purple lines)

OK, If anyone needs the details, they’re there… Not like anyone would try looking here, right? But anyway, back to dinner.

We had quite a sumptuous feast, which involved many dishes, and many side dishes (haha), and dessert too! So there were the maki for appitizers (in my case, it was chawanmushi too), and the sukiyaki/teriyaki/noriyaki or whatever for the main course, and coffee ice cream for dessert! How appropriate, especially since I have just begun my addiction to coffee during the Legion Chalet…

So when we got home, we had the actual birthday celebration (not the dinner, just the cake), and especially THE PRESENTS!!! Muahahaha! From Ning and Lerma (the two very nice & kind ppl perpetually working, mostly in the kitchen), I received a big cup, not TOO big, but not too small, just for me. Since the cups that I use (that aren’t mine) are a bit TOO big, while the regular ones are a bit too small, now I had one of my own, in a perfect size (and shape too!).

From my smelly brother and Rem & Ting Ting, I received a much-anticipated Harry Potter DVD Game (Scene It), much-anticipated because I overheard my bro talking about a "game" that he was buying, and I asked him "what game?", and smelly as he is, he let the secret out, saying "a DVD game". From that, I knew what it was, since there were ads in the cinemas of the "Scene It Harry Potter DVD Game", and recently, he had asked me if I still had interest in Harry Potter… Knowing this with a high intellect, how could I not piece together the clues to work out the present? Anyway, I haven’t tried it yet, but maybe tomorrow at the party we can try it out.

The last present was from my parents, who gave me a bag on which it read "Chomel" (a jewellery shop, mostly earrings and hairbands), and when I tried to peek inside, I saw something about Apple. I couldn’t believe it. Never in a million years would they have bought me an iPod… I was thinking what else it could be, when I took out another bag from inside the white Chomel one, it was indeed a gift form Apple, but WHAT WAS IT? I opened the red bag, and took out a black box, which read iPod nano.

I was shocked. I didn’t know what to do except thank my mum and dad, and hug them and I still couldn’t believe it… Even my brothers stood jealous, their faces green with envy (haha)… It was just pure madness, getting a black (fav colour) iPon nano for my 14th birthday! WOW, I never in a million years would have expected to even GET one, let alone for a present! I went to tell a few of my friends, quite breathless from all that excitement. (Ask Belmond, he was wondering why I was breathing so hard into the phone). I was so shocked, but in a VERY HAPPY way. An iPod nano all to myself.

WOW.
