THERE!!! Its published in public… Stupid ppl bugging me for it… Now I can slowly catch up on my camps and events from so super long ago…

I still can’t forget Camp La Salle, which I will treasure forever, especially my P5s, whom I will never see again…*sniff*

Anyway, after Camp La Salle, I fell sick for the rest of my holidays, so I couldn’t go for the C&C test on Thursday, nor the SYF practice on the same day…

However, I returned to school when it reopend, with an extremely weird briefing on what to do in case of an emergency in the school… Or was that last term? Can’t remember, but I remember it was quite depressing… Haha…

TDP Science was a trip to the science centre on Wednesday, where we received a briefing about volunteering as a temporary emplyee, but ended up playing with the fountain instead of preparing for the work, and familiarising ourselves with the optical illusions in The Mind’s Eye section.

Anyway, I was sick for last week’s NCC training, and there was a very brief period in which they doubted the authencity of my illness…

The Sec 1 RME Day of Reflection was a nightmare… We got SSVP, and the group was SO UNCOOPERATIVE, I lost my temper with them, which I never did with my Sec 1 Legion camp group, or Orientation Camp group. Maybe its cuz they are angels, or SSVP just makes them seem like angels… Haha =P but I believe they are truly my angels!! Actually, not all the SSVP guys were bad, just Sek Zan in general and a few others…

We visited the Sri Muneeswaran temple on Monday, and it was very enriching, especially the food we had to eat with our hands… Haha =P… It really adds spice to life (mind the pun). I really learnt a lot more about Hinduism than from Aditya, and surely there is a lot more that we were not told about, from Mr Ang, Rubegan or Thiaghu… But even we couldn’t absorb so much, so it was pretty interesting, but not very memorable…

Brian Kua, Ian Chai, Alastair Kwan, and Fabian Koh performed Collide at the Kindred Spirits rehearsal, but I have a feeling that they won’t get in (I’m REALLY sorry, but it really wasn’t good enough, even though it was great!)… Ah well, they tried, and that’s more important than anything else… I didn’t know Fabian could sing… Haha =P There was also another 112 boy who could sing DAMN good, and he sang Flying Without Wings a capella, and he got the most applause I think… Haha =P, Sec 1 trash all of upper sec… I went for Legion after that on Tuesday, made a hell lot of noise and pissed Mr Ang off… Oops, sorry =P… Stupid Joshua stole my angels away from me!!! Jared Monteiro and Ian Rezel were plucked from our hands and exported, and now I’m fighting for them back…. Not that Luke’s not good enough, I think they work better as a team of three… Not to mention the background support from Gerard Heng and Noel Rebeira =P Stupid Joshua…

Anyway, Chemistry TDP lesson was madness… Electronic subshells and whatnot… I guess I can ask Mrs Lee to explain a little more than what Tan Choy Ping did… Hehehe =P Test her knowledge… Anyway, we still have to do minimum 10 hours for the Science Centre thingummy…

NCC training was on Thursday, I actually went for it, and it was quite FUN!!! I went for mass first, so that I had an excuse for going late, and after a long briefing for Yeoman service for National Cross Country Champsionships, we went to the air rifle range to shoot the training away (not literally)… Miss Josephine Wee complimented my technique, and wanted to recommend me for shooting competitions, but decided not to take my card… So now I still have it, though its quite torn (cuz my bullet hit the metal prong holding the card up)… We skipped drills (though Gautam made us dizzy by making us go in circles for C&c), and ponned PT!!! YAY!!!

I just came back after an interview for NCC promotion, which I didn’t TOTALLY screw up, but the outcome is more negative than positive. They want me to quit TNF when I’d rather quit NCC… Haha, how ironic… Anyway, after that was the SYF dancing practice, which I missed quite a lot of… So I joined that and had a bit of fun… Then  I went for SSVP with Pap, and had fun with my cat classmates, who were obligated to go as part of the service programme of catechism. Anyway, we saw a man who was touching himself while talking on the phone, and my Pap saw a stark naked man walking around happily… Other than a few towels around the waist being flashed open (to be re-tied), and other minor incidents, all the girls were left unharmed and un-traumatized, with an experience they would never forget… Haha =P

So that’s the last two weeks in a nutshell… Hope you enjoyed my summary =P
Wish me luck for waking up tomorrow for Sec 2 RME Day of Reflection…

To NCC, that it may be resurrected by us,
GABBY.

Camp Fever…

Legion Orientation Camp 2006
I never realised that this annual camp could be so fun, but I did have my fair share of the excitement… Anyway, its not that I didn’t have fun last year as well, but being a senior does have its advantages =P (like slacking more than usual)…

I must say though, the Sec 2’s really did a great job handling the Sec 1’s, thanks to us for handing the reign over, although we weren’t supposed to (according to Mr Ang) cuz then we wouldn’t have anything to do ourselves…

Stupid Barney (who happened to be our group leader) was totally not there for the whole camp lah… Idiot sleeping in 207 classroom… Don’t ask me why, but I seriously wanted to tell him off after the camp… (Barney referring to Alex Poon btw)…

Anyway, congrats once again to Ian Rezel, Jared Monteiro and Luke Yap for doing a great job leading the Sec 1’s! How come so many ppl like me? It was like… I don’t even know them, but they were talking to me as if I was their close friend or something like that… Didn’t know that S1’s were so friendly, but of course, I totally approve of it… Hope all of them stay on in Legion =P

Jared_gangster Jared a gangster? Nothing is impossible for God =P

Julian_edwin Hmm… What do we have here?

Camp La Salle 2006
Had great fun there too, but I didn’t get to bond with the P5’s as much as I wanted to, not to the point where they would remember me forever (if it were possible)… Not like they would recognize me if they saw me on the streets (or back in their school, if I visited)…

Anyway, I never knew that they would be so friendly either, since I made friends among the other groups as well, but sadly, I didn’t know all their names (as much as I would like to)…

Such a pity that the camp was so short, I wouldn’t even get to see them again( Oh well, at least they had fun in the camp, with me, and thanks to me =P) I’ll be back next year =P

Me  I look so FAT!!!

Dsc_4016_medium_ Eugene Lee looking blur as usual…

Guess what! I just recovered from a fever, thanks to my brilliant prediction that I made in the form of the title of this post, which happened to be put up before this blasted fever of mine…

Camp Fever indeed…

SJI NCC Centennial Company Camp 2006

Thursday, March 9th, 2006

Sorry its been so long, but I’ve been trying to catch up on work for the last week of school…

Anyway, its the holidays… FINALLY!

But last week, it was a whole different scenario. The thing to look forward to was not the end of the school term, but the end of camp!

Although there were cool changes like the Alliance System (which I think ROX), there were also times which brought even more disdain for NCC, like killer drills (by Sir Algae) and Psycho Night…

Let’s start from the beginning… I made new friends like John, Shen Shin, Jeremy, Soon Kiat, Jarrold, Jerry, Benjamin, Andrew… Did I get that right? Hmm…. Hope I did (Sorry Part A’s), but I bonded more with the Sec 2’s, esp the more friendly and outspoken ones… Even some from other alliances knew me, like Daniel and Damien…

Apart from the lovely people I met and worked with, I was extremely surprised by the slackiness of the camp (to my advantage, of course)… Hardly any pumping, and held while everyone was dropping sick like flies… Lolz =P

A few interesting events during camp;

Nightwalk was held SO DAMN FRICKING near my house that I was longing to run away, and return to my bed… We walked out of Tanglin Ave onto Tanglin Rd pass Chatsworth Rd and Chatswort Ave… I was like OMG LET ME GO HOME!!! But other than that, the walk through the "haunted building" was pretty un-scary, but interesting all the same… Nice try, A for effort, dear specs =P

Peer Mediation Talk; MEDIATION &  YOUth technically isn’t part of the camp, but part of Legion training as a senior. However, I had to go in the morning, when everyone else was doing PT and IFC (YAY!)… It was quite interesting, simply because I never knew mediation was such a big thing, applied in so many different cases, officially and unofficially (in Law and in School)… Simply fascinating, even though others couldn’t see that…

Games session was after a "mandatory rest period" which was due to the number of ppl falling sick… Anyway, we dominated in each game, but overall we lost by ONE POINT to A5… Doesn’t matter, A1 still ROX the most!!! Strategy and skill…

Psycho Night was not unnecessary, but I hated it all the same… Just like I hate anything to do with NCC…

Booking out was the most anticipated part, after diamming through a whole parents’ seminar, and performing out muster parade for the parents… Wasn’t that just glorious, leaving school after tolerating so much…

ONE WEEK LATER

I’m still alive, after the last week of school, only to go through ANOTHER training, this time not even guaranteed to be fun at all whatsoever… I am living proof of my survival through that training… Only a few more months now…

Have to learn drills for proficiency test… How dumb… Not that I’m not interested in the drills, its just that my hols are already so damn packed… Now we have training next Thurs… Grrr…

God help me.
